Brian O’Connor (he/him)

Hello, I'm Brian.

I am a senior trainee Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I hold a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP, a Higher Diploma from Dublin Business School, and I'm currently pursuing a Master's Degree (MA) in Psychotherapy at Dublin Business School.

My training is accredited by the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP), and my approach is rooted in humanistic and integrative therapy, which allows me to tailor my methods to meet my client’s unique needs. I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can be a courageous and vulnerable act. I am here to guide and support you on this path of self-discovery and healing.

I am not only an ally but also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges and joys that come with it. I'm passionate about creating a welcoming, safe, judgement-free space for clients to explore their journey. I firmly believe that, with the right support, people can tap into their inner strength and live a happier, more authentic life.

My specific areas of work and interest include helping individuals discover their true identity, navigate the various forms of romantic and personal relationship difficulties, chemsex, shame, anxiety/depression, heal from trauma, and boost self-esteem.

One of my favourite quotes is “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” – Carl Rogers
