Meet Our Exceptional Team
At Rainbow Minds, we know that therapy isn’t just about finding someone qualified—it’s about finding someone who truly gets you. It’s about connecting with someone who understands your journey because they’ve lived it, too. That’s why I, James Byrne, founded Rainbow Minds—to create a place where LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse individuals can find therapists who don’t just offer support but also share their experiences.
Our Story: From Personal Struggles to Shared Understanding
I’ve been where you are. I started Rainbow Minds after realising how hard it was to find therapists who understood what it felt like to be both queer and neurodiverse. I knew our communities needed a space where therapy wasn’t just professional but personal. Our therapists are part of the LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse communities, bringing their experiences into the therapeutic space. At Rainbow Minds, we don’t just listen—we understand.
You’re Looking for Connection, We Provide It
When you’re searching for a therapist, you’re not just looking for expertise—you’re looking for someone who can connect with you on a deeper level. That’s where we come in. We’ve brought together a team of therapists who have walked similar paths to yours. We know the questions you’re asking and the struggles you’re navigating because we’ve asked them ourselves.
Therapy Tailored to Your Journey
At Rainbow Minds, our therapists are highly qualified, accredited, and constantly learning. They specialise in Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) and are committed to ongoing professional development to ensure they stay ahead of the curve. This means when you take that important step to begin therapy, you're not just getting support—you’re getting expertise built around the latest insights in LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse care.
A Space Where You Feel Understood
The greatest reward we offer is the feeling of belonging. When you walk into a session at Rainbow Minds, you’re entering a space where your identity is celebrated, and your challenges are met with empathy. Our team’s shared experiences allow us to create an environment where you feel safe, valued, and truly understood.
Accessible Therapy for All
We understand that therapy can be a financial investment, so each of our therapists offers flexible fees to fit different budgets.
We also offer an affordable, Lower-Cost Therapy Service staffed by senior interns to ensure no one is turned away due to financial barriers. If you’re interested in accessing this service, simply indicate it in your contact form, and we’ll match you with a therapist who can meet your needs.
