Meet Our Team

At Rainbow Minds, we believe therapy is about connection. It’s about finding someone who understands your experiences and can offer genuine support. That’s why I, James Byrne, founded Rainbow Minds: to provide a space where LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse individuals can feel truly understood. Our team is highly qualified and dedicated to ongoing learning. We specialise in Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) and Neurodivergence. Rainbow Minds was created from a personal need for therapists who understand what it’s like to navigate life as both queer and neurodiverse. Our therapists bring their lived experiences into the room, creating a space where you’re met with understanding and respect. In addition to this, all therapists at Rainbow Minds offer counselling and psychotherapy to people outside of the LGBTQ+ and ND communities.

Our Affordable Service:
We understand that not everyone has insurance or can afford standard therapy fees, but this doesn’t mean quality should be compromised. Our affordable therapy service is designed to make support accessible while maintaining high standards of care. Payments for this service go directly toward keeping it running, ensuring we can continue to provide help to those who need it most.

Our senior interns bring a wealth of experience from their diverse backgrounds. Many professionals in allied fields, such as education, social work, or healthcare, are currently training as counsellors and psychotherapists. They are competent, compassionate, and dedicated to their clients. During their time with us, they receive ongoing supervision and training to ensure they provide the best possible care.

This service reflects our commitment to creating a space where everyone can access therapy, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Below are our Senior Interns. Please note that if you choose a person, they may not have availability so please be open to being assigned to more than one therapist.
