I am committed to continuing professional development and participate in clinical workshops in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States. As part of my ongoing training, I have trained with the Rape Crisis Centre in Childhood Sexual Abuse: The Counselling Process; HIV Training for Counsellors; Pink Therapy training in Clinical Sexology with Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversities; Working with Sexuality: Bodies, Desires and Imagination training with Confer; Professional programmes with Gender Odyssey; Individual and Couple Gestalt Training (GATLA) and Couples Training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).  

I utilise an integrative approach making use of a variety of therapeutic models such as Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existentialism and Mindfulness.

I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, OCD, bullying, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and personal development. I am particularly interested in working with Gender and Sexual Relationship Diversity including Gender Identity and non-traditional relationships.

Qualifications

I hold a Higher Certificate in Applied Social Studies, a BA(Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School, an MA(Hons) in Sexuality Studies from Dublin City University and a postgraduate Diploma in Supervision. I am an accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
